A digital wedding guestbook with voice and video messages
A guestbook on a table by the entrance often collects a few quick lines. A digital guestbook meets guests where they already are — on their phone — and lets them leave their voice or a short video. Voices and faces can become some of the most personal things you keep from the day.
What a digital guestbook is
A digital guestbook is a place where guests leave a message from their own phone — written, as a voice recording or as a video. Instead of one book that has to travel between tables, everyone can write at the same time, and each message goes straight into your collection.
In Foreveh the guestbook lives in the same camera as the photos. Guests scan the QR code and can write a greeting, record a voice message of up to 60 seconds or a video of up to 30 seconds. They can also turn a photo into a small photo card with a note or a voice recording on the back.
Private by default
People tend to say more from the heart when they know it is not shown to everyone. That is why greetings are private by default: only the couple can see and hear them. A private greeting appears neither in the guest gallery nor on the venue screen. A guest can choose to share a video greeting in the gallery.
The microphone is only requested when the guest taps to start a recording. Voice recording needs a browser that supports it; if the microphone is unavailable, the guest can still write a greeting.
Give guests something to answer
An empty box can be hard to start. A short prompt on the table card or in the welcome speech makes it easier and leads to messages that are more fun to hear again. Pick two or three suggestions, not more.
- A memory you share with the couple.
- A piece of advice for the first year of marriage.
- What you wish for them in ten years.
- A toast — in your own dialect or first language.
- A message for them to play on their first anniversary.
When and where guests should do it
The best moments are the quiet ones: during drinks, between courses or at a dedicated guestbook corner with better light and less noise. A video recorded next to the dance-floor speakers rarely turns out as well as it could.

If you want the messages to be a surprise, wait until the next day to listen. They stay safely in the album until you are ready.
Don’t forget guests without a smartphone
Some of the dearest messages come from grandparents and older relatives, who don’t always have a smartphone or know QR codes. Ask a best man, maid of honour or grandchild to help: they can take a photo of them and add a voice note on the back of the photo, in their own words.
A small paper card where they can write a few lines is a good backup too. Take a photo of the card afterwards and add it to the album, so every message ends up in one place.
Afterwards: keep the voices safe
When you download your wedding, you can choose whether to include guests’ voice greetings. They go into their own folder, so they are easy to find again and back up.
After a paid wedding, the gallery is available for at least 12 months, and we give notice before removing it. Even so, download everything and store it somewhere safe. The guestbook is included in every size, including the free trial for up to 20 sharing guests.
